Redskins Nation Favorite, Marcus Washington Released

It appears that Redskins Nation favorite and Outside Linebacker, Marcus Washington will be released according to Redskin sources attending the NFL Combine. Washington was a standout linebacker with the Redskins until injuries hampered his last three seasons. Washington's infectious enthusiasm along with his seemingly limitless energy made him a fan favorite.
The Redskins are in a quest to get younger, cheaper and healthier so this move probably does not shock the fan base even though it pains me to lose such a good and honorable Redskin. The Redskins have very little depth at the linebacker position so it will be interesting to see how this changes their free agent search and their draft priorities.
