According to the NFL network's Adam Shefter the Redskins reached an agreement with Albert Haynesworth. The details are still sketchy but this represents the biggest major signing of the free agency period. The Redskins are gambling that Haynesworth will continue his stellar play despite having his two best seasons during contract years.

The Redskins also reached an early morning agreement to keep DeAngelo Hall. Hall, a Washington area native wanted to stay with the Redskins so that deal comes as no surprise to anyone. The Redskins have definitely upgraded their defense but a lot of familiar faces will be departing to to the large contract of Haynesworth. This signing guarantees that Shawn Springs is likely done with the Skins.
