On behalf of all of us not on Planet Favre we would like to take this time to thank Brett for ending this madness. Mr. 50-50 finally made the right decision and kept his cleats in the closet. Now the NFL network and other news organizations can stop ruining the lives of reporters by having them spend time in the duldrums of Mississppi waiting for a puff of white or black smoke.

In my humble opinion Favre's numbers are the result of uncanny longevity which so many people confuse with greatness. Favre had his moments but the INT-TD ratio speaks volumes about his career. I realize that I have the minority opinion when it comes to Favre which is fine by me.

Now the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL can move on to the Michael Vick saga.
