Just because you got lapped does not justify a gender test. Did anyone Ask Phelps if he was part fish as he was crushing the competition? besides the French who make accusations everytime they lose anything...see the Tour De Lance, oops I meant France.  Has anyone asked that Usain Bolt be tested for secret warp capability? I wonder if it occurred to her accusers that they are just really slow?  I can certainly understand everyone's hyper sensitivity to cheating but to make accusations about someone's gender crosses a line. I have to ask this question because no one has asked to my knowledge. Would this be an issue if Semenya lost? If she came in last would anyone bother to bring this up? When you look at how guys like Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt are completely rewriting the record books is it so unfathomable that a woman can blow away the competition in the same manner?

Fortunately for humans our evolution as a species continues despite some people's best efforts. Records rise and fall every competition so hopefully we will not be requiring a gender test every time someone comes along that makes everyone else look slow.
