There is no perfect NFL owner so I will construct one using bits and pieces from select owners.

1.
Tenacity - The Rooney's, Pittsburgh - Every year you can count on the Pittsburgh Steelers to be tough as a two dollar steak. In a lot of ways a football team is a direct reflection of it's owner.
2. Patience - The Rooney's, Pittsburgh - Has anyone ever seen the Steelers go on a free agent spending spree? Yet they are always competitive because they keep it simple. They show us all that the KISS method really does work.

3.
Football IQ - AL Davis, Oakland - Say what you will about Crazy Al now, but Al Davis has forgotten more football than most of these current owners know. Al Davis is responsible for a good portion of the modern day game we see today.

4.
Business IQ - Dan Snyder, Washington - Say what you will about his decision making and patience but ever since Snyder took over the Redskins they have been a money making machine especially for a team that does not win on the regular. Honorable mentions are Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones.

5.
Community Sentiment - Ralph Wilson, Buffalo - This guy is absolutely beloved in Buffalo. I am not saying other cities don't love their owners but I've been to many NFL cities and Buffalo's relationship with Wilson is a notch above IMO. A great manager needs to do everything to look out for the team and their family - from
life insurance quotes to making the time to recuperate. Knowing they were cared for gave them more motivation to play better. The team were outstanding! No wonder people from Buffalo love Ralph!

6.
Innovative Thinking - Community Ownership, Green Bay - Gotta love it that Title-town USA is owned by "We the people". Now that is a concept that I would like to see more of in sports.
