Move over Brett Favre the new 50-50 (TSD) has arrived. Yes ladies and gentlemen, after a 10-5 week #1 I slipped to a new low of 8-8 last week. Some teams surprised like the 49ers while other teams pulled some Tom-foolery like the Houston Texans. Weren’t they supposed to beat the Jets and lose to the Titans? I guess they did not get the same version of the script I did. Well this is Picks plus so this week I’ve brought in my lovely and talented wife, Tracy to show me how it’s done.

Without further delay….The Picks:

Cleveland at Baltimore – On paper this could get ugly early. If I were the Cleveland QB I would have 911 on speed dial. TSD Pick – Ravens, Tracy’s Pick – Baltimore

Washington at Detroit – As if my life could get any worse, my team has played so poorly they are in a pick’em game versus the Lions who are so bad the game won’t be seen in Detroit. TSD Pick – Skins, Tracy’s Pick – Washington

Jacksonville at Houston – For anyone following my picks (and hopefully not betting money) I find the Texans a perplexing bunch. I think I will use the George Constanza approach with the Texans and do the exact opposite of what I think is going to happen. TSD Pick – Jacksonville, Tracy’s Pick – Jacksonville

Atlanta at New England – Atlanta is a lot better than people think but they cannot generate enough pass rush to throw Brady off his game. TSD Pick – Patriots, Tracy’s pick – New England

Green Bay at St. Louis – I look for a strong Green Bay rebound here. TSD Pick – Packers, Tracy’s Pick- St. Louis

Giants at Tampa Bay – Although the Giants could experience some let-down here, they would have to fall off considerably to lose this one. TSD Pick – Giants, Tracy’s pick – Giants

Titans at Jets – As much as I love what the Jets are doing I believe their sins catch up to them Sunday. What sin you might ask? A rookie QB versus a desperate and good Jeff Fisher led football team. This will be a defensive struggle unless Sanchez implodes (which Fisher can orchestrate) and I gotta believe Kerry Collins will play a little better to win this close game. Not to mention this game has slobber-knocker award written all over it. TSD Pick – Titans, Tracy’s Pick – Titans

Chiefs at Eagles – Minus one poorly timed blitz in week #1 and a sudden collapse by the chiefs defense late last week I’ve been very impressed with what they’ve done thus far. The Eagles QB situation is not good and their defense is not the same Eagles defense we are accustomed to. This is the TSD upset special. I am picking the Chiefs to go into Philly and eek out a victory. TSD Pick – The Chiefs.  Tracy’s Pick- "As a Broncos fan it is my duty to hate the Chiefs; Philly  all the way"

49er’s at Vikings – Oh man! This is gonna be a good, hard hitting football game. San Francisco’s defense is looking mighty good but not as good as Minnesota’s defense. Adrian Peterson versus Frank Gore is worth the NFL Sunday Ticket alone. Brett Favre is going to get hit early and often so we will see how 50-50’s body responds to some pounding. Saints at Buffalo Bills – The Bills actually have a pass rush so I don’t see the Saints hanging a 50 burger this week. The Bills can keep this game close because the Saints defense can be had.  In the end Drew Brees is going to do enough to win this game. TSD Pick – Saints, Tracy’s Pick – “I would normally pick the Bills but the Saints are on a roll – Saints”

Bears at Seattle – The Bears had a big win last week but in my opinion they are not good enough to go to Seattle and beat a Seattle team still smarting over a loss to the surprising 49ers. Seneca Wallace is pretty good and pretty mobile. TSD Pick – Seattle, Tracy’s Pick – “I’m a Cutler fan Bears baby”

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati – I rag on the Bengals all the time but they rolled into Green Bay and pimp slapped the Packers. Who saw that coming? Anyway, The Bengals have plenty of talent not to mention a ton of hatred for the Steelers. This is going to be another tough week for the Steelers. TSD Pick – Bengals, Tracy’s Pick – Pittsburgh

Denver at Raiders – In the interest of Full Disclosure my darling wife is a diehard Broncos fan so I am little afraid to pick this game.  If I win on this pick I still may lose.  She hates the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers just because she is a Denver fan. Of Course the Raiders are my favorite team next to the Redskins so this is lose-lose for me. Anyway, The Raiders look like they are getting better despite the QB not being able to throw a tic-tac through a hula-hoop. Denver looked good last week after looking like crapola against the Bengals. This is another one of those close division games. TSD Pick – Raiders, Tracy’s Pick – Hello…Denver

Miami vs. San Diego – If San Diego loses this game I will stop watching football. I like Chad Pennington but he doesn’t even have a NCAA level arm let alone a NFL caliber one. The Charger roll large here. TSD Pick – Chargers, Tracy’s Pick – “I hate the Chargers so I’m going with the dolphins” Tracy’s upset special.

Colts at Cardinals – Talk about a scoring bonanza. I find it very hard to pick against the Colts but if there is a QB that can go score for score with Peyton Manning it is Kurt Warner. TSD Pick – Cardinals, Tracy’s Pick – “I get tired of hearing about Manning; I’ll go with the Cardinals

Carolina at Dallas – Now that the Jerry Dome was broken in properly I believe the Cowboys will make a better showing. This has all the makings of a good football game because of two key factors; Cowboys pride and Carolina desperation. The Cowboys are super embarrassed about last week while John Fox and Jake Delhomme could get the sack if they have another crappy performance.  Common sense says the Cowboys win but if Romo has a repeat stinky performance Carolina can steal one. TSD Pick – Cowboys, Tracy’s pick – Dallas
